A message from the SEC Historical Society for Current and Former SEC Staff

---.

The Securities and Exchange Commission Historical Society sincerely appreciates your valuable public service. The staff of the SEC is critical to the SEC’s ability to fulfill its three-part mission to protect investors, maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitate capital formation.

The SEC Staff serves investors every day — by regulating the securities industry and markets, working with companies to improve the quality of the disclosure they provide to investors, assessing and improving compliance and enforcing the law, providing assistance, information and education to investors, and working with other regulators across the globe.

The mission of the Securities and Exchange Commission Historical Society is to share, preserve and advance knowledge of the history of financial regulation and the SEC. Founded in 1999, the Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan organization.

Our virtual museum includes exhibits, galleries, oral histories, documents and photos from the SEC’s founding in 1934 through the present. The Society leadership invites you to explore the Virtual Museum of Financial Regulation and stay connected by signing up for email updates. Please let us know if you would like to help us achieve our mission.

With appreciation,
SEC Historical Society Leadership
