Use of the Virtual Museum and Archive for News Stories

The virtual museum and archive of SEC and securities history available here is free and accessible at all times. The museum collections offer a variety of papers, photos, oral histories and educational programs that contribute to the understanding of how the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has shaped U.S. and international capital markets since its inception. Materials in the museum are accessioned and exhibited independent of any SEC oversight.

All museum materials are available to media for background data and historical perspective for news stories on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the New York Stock Exchange and other exchanges, the "Street," law and accounting as they relate to the securities industry, international securities regulation, and other topics.
