In this oral history, James McConnell discusses his government career including his time as the SEC’s executive director from 1990 to 2006 where he oversaw the SEC’s operations, budget, personnel, and major initiatives, such as the implementation of the EDGAR electronic filing system and reforms in response to the Tatel Report on workplace issues.
