Donate to the SEC Historical Society
For over 25 years, the SEC Historical Society, through its virtual museum and archive, has been dedicated to sharing, preserving, and advancing knowledge of the history of securities regulation. The museum honors the invaluable public service of the SEC staff, who serve investors every day. Our collection highlights the SEC’s vital role in promoting investor protection and capital formation through oral histories, photographs, programs, and historical documents.
The content helps bankers, accountants, lawyers, researchers, academics, students, authors, journalists, and the curious public understand and appreciate how the system of statutes, regulations, and government policies governing capital markets has developed and been interpreted over time.
Help us build our historical collection
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization, we provide free public access to our museum. The Society operates independently of SEC oversight and funding. We pride ourselves on being non-partisan, ensuring that everyone can see the great work the SEC accomplishes, regardless of the political environment.
