William Brodsky

William Brodsky is best known for serving as CEO of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) starting in 1997. During his tenure, he led the CBOE through its demutualization and successful Initial Public Offering in 2010. Brodsky championed innovation, introducing products such as the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX), which became a global benchmark. Mr. Brodsky has worked at four major exchanges, including the New York Stock Exchange, the American Stock Exchange, and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange where he served as president and CEO from 1985 to 1997.
